Raksha Bandhan was thoroughly enjoyed by our children in all villages across India. Not only did the festivity bring happiness to children, it also gave them an opportunity to meet some of the eminent dignitaries of their states.
Celebrated on August 26th, Raksha Bandhan was thoroughly enjoyed by our children in all villages across India. Not only did the festivity bring immense happiness to our children, it also helped them realise the importance of familial ties and relationships.
The highlights of this include:
1. SOS CV Hojai
On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, five young girls along with their mother and Village Director visited Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, Governor of Assam, at Raj Bhawan, Guwahati and Mr. Sarbananda Sonowal, Chief Minister of Assam, at Brahmaputra Guest House, Uzanbazar, Guwahati.
Not only did our children tie Rakhi to both Mr. Mukhi and Mr. Sonowal, they even got the opportunity to interact with them. Encouraging them to work hard, the dignitaries wished all our children a prosperous and a happy life ahead!
2. SOS CV Chennai
On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, our children from SOS CV Chennai got the opportunity to meet two eminent political leaders of the state. These included Shri. C. Rajendran, Ex M.P. and Present Secretary of Kanchipuram Wing of Ruling AIADMK Party and Mr. Benjamin, Minister for Rural Development and Industries, Govt. of Tamil Nadu.
Our children tied Rakhi to both, symbolizing an everlasting bond of love and trust!
3. SOS CV Puducherry
To celebrate the joyous occasion of Raksha Bandhan, our children visited Ms. Kiran Bedi, Honourable Lt. Governor of Puducherry, at Raj Niwas. Besides tying the knot of love, our children spent wonderful time with Ms. Bedi.

4. SOS CV Bhubaneswar
As part of Raksha Bandhan celebrations, children from SOS CV Bhubaneswar got the opportunity to meet some of the eminent dignitaries of the state. They visited Mr. Ganeshi Lal, Honourable Governor of Odisha, at Raj Bhawan, Mr. Naveen Patnaik, Honourable Chief Minister of Odisha, Mr. Ashok Chandra Panda, Minister of Tourism and Culture and Mr. Anant Narayan Jena, Mayor at Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation.
Tying knots of boundless love, children enjoyed the day to the fullest!

5. SOS CV Kolkata
To celebrate Raksha Bandhan, children from SOS CV Kolkata tied Rakhi to Mr. Keshari Nath Tripathi, Honourable Governor of West Bengal. Four children along with their mother visited Raj Bhavan for the same.Share via Facebook
