To commemorate the occasion of Universal Children’s Day, SOS India Organises SOS Tarang 2017
SOS Tarang is the annual national cultural and sports festival of SOS India. This year, the event marked the multi-talented presentation of children from our 32 Villages across India.To commemorate Universal Children’s Day, SOS India organises SOS Tarang, the annual sports and cultural festival of SOS India. Calling out to children from the 32 SOS Villages in 22 states, Tarang showcases and highlights the talents of children in the fields of art, culture and sports.
This year, the grand finale of Tarang 2017 was held on November 20th at Shri Sathya Sai Auditorium, New Delhi. The finale included events like skit competition, experience sharing by settled youth of SOS India, dance performance by the specially abled children from SOS Village Khajuri Kalan, who also presented the National Anthem in sign language and fancy dress stage performance. The glittering evening was concluded with a prize distribution ceremony for all winners. The finale was preceded by the inaugural ceremony of SOS Tarang 2017 on November 18th at Hermann Gmeiner School, Faridabad and National Badminton and Volleyball Finals on November 19th at SOS Village Greenfields, Faridabad.
The activities and competitions for this year’s Tarang began in April 2017 at the Project Level, followed by participation at the Zonal Level and the finals in Delhi at the National Level.
