Jatinder Kumar came to SOS Children’s Village Rajpura in 1997 at the age of 12. While it took him time to mingle with his siblings and other children in the Village, his bond with his SOS mother was strong since the time he had met her.

He was always a very hard-working and diligent student and managed to be amongst the class toppers year after year. Not only was he good at academics, he also showed exemplary performance in co-curricular activities. After completing his class 10, Jatinder opted for a Diploma in Architecture from Poyltechnic College, Bathinda (Punjab). Post this, he also did his B.Tech in Electricals in the year 2008. With his sincerity and dedication, the boy stepped into his professional career with a renowned company WIPRO in Kolkata. This was an overwhelming time for not only Jatinder but also his SOS family, especially his SOS mother. After this, there was no stopping for Jatinder!

He later moved on to work with Jackson Ltd. in Delhi. Subsequently, Jatinder joined Tractor India Pvt. Limited at Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, where he now works as an Assistant Manager, Sales.

He says, “I am thankful to my SOS family for supporting me through those difficult days and helping me to become an independent and competent professional, capable of surviving in a competitive environment in the corporate world. I also truly appreciate that SOS India supports thousands of children like me in fulfilling their dreams, just like how they supported me. Without this support, I wouldn’t have become who I am today. For me SOS India is not just an organization but a loving family.”
