Purshottam was just a day old when he came to SOS Children’s Village Jaipur in 1994. He was placed under the care of his SOS Mother Anjali Mohapatra, who, at the very first glance of the boy knew that one day he would make every one proud!

After successfully completing his schooling and college, now the boy has grown up to be a healthy and smart young man. He grew up as a hard working child, who performed well in both studies and co-curricular activities. After completing his, high school, he pursued his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from University of Rajasthan. Today, he is a Process Associate in Genpact, Jaipur, one of the leading BPOs (Business Process Outsourcing) in India. Additionally, he is also pursuing his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) through distance education.

Purshottam often reminisces his days spent in the Village. He tries his best to stay in touch with everyone and visit his family whenever he can.

He says, “I have so many people to thank who helped me turn the way I am today. From guiding me for my future to helping me overcome various obstacles and challenges, I am very thankful to SOS India. My mother has always been more of a friend to me. I have taken away a lot of memories, love and values from my Village, and for this, I would always be indebted to my family and SOS India.”
