The organisation has fostered four generations of parentless and abandoned children and enabled them to lead constructive lives. The children are provided an identity, a family to call their own, and most importantly, a life that has set examples for others to grow up to become active and contributing members of society.
SOSCVI also provides support to vulnerable families as a part of its Family Strengthening Programme.
SOS India provides support to vulnerable families as a part of its Family Strengthening (FS) Programme. It is a preventive community intervention programme through which over 35000 children have been empowered as on May31, 2024. Designed to prevent children from losing parental care or being abandoned, this programme runs in slums & rural areas, within a 30 km radius of an SOS Children’s Village. The program participants of FS are children from the most vulnerable families i.e., children of widows, single women, and Below Poverty Line (BPL) families as well as families whose livelihoods have been impacted by disaster. Spanning 5 years, the programme aims to enable families to move out of the vicious cycle of poverty towards greater dignity and self-reliance by ensuring children’s education and income generating capacity development of the caregivers
The organisation has also been a first responder, each time a natural or man-made disaster has struck India, providing active assistance and initiating relief operations and activities, with central importance being given to affected children.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for instituting robust financial systems and for the organisation, particularly in terms of financial planning, management, reporting, cost management and controls. This position has a key role to play in aligning the finance function with strategy and supporting on-ground execution. The CFO will be expected to take the lead in enforcing strong financial discipline and cost control measures with appropriate risk management systems to maximise the potential of funds contributed and optimize the spends.

Additionally, we have four State Board Schools: Hermann Gmeiner School in Bhopal (Senior Secondary School), Hermann Gmeiner School in Palla Nuh (Senior Secondary School), and Hermann Gmeiner Schools in Bhuj and Anangpur (Primary Schools). Beyond traditional courses, we have a Nursing School in Anangpur and a Degree College in Bhimtal. To enhance employability skills, we have successfully established Vocational Training Centres in Nizamuddin, Raipur, and Bhakatpara. Moreover, Vocational Training Centres and after-school classes are now a part of all Hermann Gmeiner Schools.
Education
Master’s Degree with minimum 55%
Regular B. Ed degree with minimum 55%
CTET qualified is desirable
Experience
Minimum 10 years of teaching experience and at least 5 years of administrative experience in a recognized Higher Secondary School.
Experience of managing Day Cum Residential school will be an added advantage.
Languages
Excellent communication skills English and Hindi. Must have significant and proven writing, presentation and people management skills.
