About the role
The Youth Father leads the Youth Home.

  • Affectionate, responsible, resilient and resourceful personality with strong humanistic values.
  • Act as the fatherly figure and primary caregiver for youth residing in the youth home. Provide homely and enabling atmosphere of love, affection, care and protection for youth.

Roles and Responsibilities
The Youth Father leads the Youth Home:

  • The Youth Father shares his life with the Youths, offering them emotional security and the opportunity to develop new and lasting relationships within Youth Home. At the same time, the Youth Father is a child-care professional who co-operates with the other village co-workers in meeting the needs of the Youths and to make them independent.
  • Youth Father is the leader of the Youth Home and is directly responsible for the care and development of each of his Youths. He guides them towards self-sufficiency and independence and leads the decision-making process with his youths. He also seeks out expert advice from other village co-workers when it is needed.
  • Facilitating the visit of SOS Mother in consultation of the Village Director.
  • It is essential that he remains in Youth Home during evening study session and desirable that he supports youth in academics as per his capability.
  • Ensures prayer by Youth in Youth Home
  • Maintains Youth Home allowance register which is checked by Youth Co-worker
  • Plays both indoor and outdoor games with youth
  • Takes daily attendance of Youth in Youth Home
  • Maintains the articles and equipment of youth Home
  • Supporting Co-workers: Village Director and Youth Co-workers provide support services to the Youth Father and his youth home, offering expert advice and practical support as requested by the Youth Father, taking the Youth Home budget and plans into account.
  • Village Director: The village director co-ordinates the professional development of Youth Father, and ensures that they receive the individual support they need to fulfil their tasks.

1. Job Description
Areas of Responsibility

  • Responsible for achieving the fund raising targets – personally initiate corporate tieups in assigned area – with special focus on closing deals / donations and achieving set targets as per the objectives of the organization.
  • Monitor achievement of Fund Raising targets and Obtain information on best practices/success stories from team members to build capabilities and increase fund generation.
  • Co-ordinate internal communications and awareness of organization direction,
    mission, aims and activities.
  • Responsible for conducting survey of potential markets for fund raising
  • Responsible to conduct various fundraising initiatives.
  • Responsible for proposal writing/processing of grant application/ Submission of FUC and progress report can come / volunteering engagements with corporate

About the role

To Plan, Monitor and Implement the Family Strengthening program with a focus on Livelihood improvement amongst vulnerable families.

Areas of Responsibility
1. Deepening the focus on Sustainable Livelihoods Approach/agenda
in FS program:

  • Support program/project and unit heads to incorporate alternative sources of sustainable livelihoods targets defined institutional
    position.
  • Take lead in creative, innovative and proactive role ensuring improving focus on livelihoods and related issues to the
    Programs/projects.
  • Help the local team to design livelihood activities promoting the increase in income of vulnerable families.
  • Document lessons learned related, evaluate impact and modify community approaches accordingly

2. Program Support and Advisory Role:

  • Frequently coordinate and communicate with supervisor, program staff, livelihoods networks and working partners at local, state and national level.
  • Technical support to field project offices to ensure quality results in livelihood related interventions.

3. Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Support and advise units heads for effective program/project monitoring at outputs and outcome level.
  • Support facilitate and advise monitoring and evaluation team for outcome/impact level monitoring and impact evaluation
  • Conduct periodic/mid-term impact evaluation/case studies on specific livelihood themes and document/publish. Prepare thematic, consultation, lesson learned reports.
  • Make frequent field visits to each project site or as required and provide updated feedback to supervisor
  • Prepare annual work plan and review quarterly in consultation with unit heads and location In-charges
  • Prepare and ensure reflection of livelihoods component in annual report of the organization and rovide technical support for Network’s technical progress report preparation
  • Support external/evaluation process

4. Capacity Building and Enabling Partners:

  • Conduct orientation and enhance field project office staff’s capacity in focusing on alternative sustainable livelihoods approach.
  • Develop a team of livelihood point persons across FS locations and build their capacities in management and effective implementation of livelihoods at their locations

Working Relationships:
Internal:

  • Interact frequently with Deputy National Director-FS, Zonal FS Coordinators and Program Support staff.

External:

  • Interact frequently with existing governmental, non-governmental, civil society partners and Livelihoods Network
  • Interact regularly with consultants, researchers, socio-economists, and possible/future partners
  • Participate and represent the organization in Livelihood related networks and meetings and make presentations

Minimum Work Requirements:

Knowledge: A Master’s degree in Sociology/Anthropology, Sustainable Rural Development, Economics or relevant Social Science field.

Experience:

  • At least 8-10 years of field experience in country in the implementing and managing community level sustainable livelihoods is required.
  • Working with Livelihoods programs especially at the location level is much desired
  • The individual should have updated contemporary development issues/knowledge and extensive working experience in the understanding of Sustainable Development, Livelihoods Approaches, experienced in capacity building, strategic planning as well as monitoring and evaluation.
  • Prior experience of working with field based, diverse ethnics, cultures, linguistic groups of country is desirable.
  • Experience of working on EU Livelihood programs will eb given preference

About the role

The role of Director-Technical is to – plan end to end projects in construction and infrastructure
maintenance in CV, Offices and educational institutes. This will include defining the SOW,
definition of BOQs,

Responsibilities:
1. Construction/Repair/ Maintenance work

  • Identifying repairs required, Budgeting and execution of necessary repair and maintenance.
  • New construction, proposal preparation and approval.
  • Development of Specifications for the approved work, work out the quantities,
  • Design finalization, development of estimation and development of tender. Development of
    specifications, work out the quantities, and Tendering process and vendor selection. issuing
    of work order, leading to preparation of Agreement. Execution of work.
  • Preparation of Bill of Quantity (BOQ).
  • Analysis of quotations, negotiations, recommendation for work and work allotment.
  • Follow-up & interaction with Vendor and Village administration for the execution of work
    and quality control.
  • Bill checking, payment recommendation etc.
  • Liasioning with the local authority, obtaining of approvals.
