Lt. Col. Atul Bakshi (Retd)
Lt Col Atul Bakshi (Retd.) is a veteran Civil Engineer with specialisation in Environmental Engineering from IIT, Kanpur and in Management from IIM, Lucknow. He has over three decades of cross-functional leadership experience, with particular expertise in Construction, Procurement and Program Implementation – specializing in large scale operations & projects, spread across vast geographic areas, as well as in providing strategic and operational leadership in conceptualising and implementing programs – specially in education and sanitation domains. Atul has worked with world class organisations like the Indian Army, Military Engineering Services (MES), Army Welfare Housing Organisation, Educomp, Ramky Enviro Engineers Ltd. He was the Head of Construction, Procurement and Sanitation at Bharti Foundation in his last role from 2009 to 2021. Since then he has been on a sabbatical and is focusing on giving back to the society. He is serving on the SOS Children’s Villages India Board since 2021 as a Nominated Board Member.
